SNU Rallies at Davis Creek Regional Park

Main campground and Group Area

Location: In Washoe Valley between Reno and Carson City Nevada From Reno take Rt 395 south to Washoe Valley (approximately 8 miles from the Mt. Rose junction). Turn right on Old 395. Go about .04 miles to Davis Creek Rd. turn right. The Davis Creek group area is at the end of a short gravel road off the main campground road.

Facilities and Fees: The main campground is open year round and has 62 overnight campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis. Most roads are paved or gravel. There are toilets but no hookups. Shower facilities and a dump station are available for small fees. Regional park fees are required including entrance fee, camping site fees, pet fees, and other fees. Fees and reservations are required for the Group area.

Nearby attractions: Davis Creek offers self guided nature trails an hiking. There is also bike riding along Franktown road and the Historic Bowers Mansion is a short drive from the campground.
Finding the Rally Site: The SNU now provides the means for you to put its rally sites on your electronic map. If you don't have a GPS or a PND or a computer with a mapping program, you can still take the file and use it to find coordinates on your paper maps.

Boondocking SNU Style: SNU rallies are a great way to experience camping “off grid” Our usual rally sites have no electricity or other hookups. Water is frequently not available. For the SNU, this type of camping enhances the experience and we are never without all the comforts of home
