Description
A small sample of the various activities and events held in Northern Nevada and nearby locations. These include the Reno Championship Air Races, the Great Reno Balloon Races, Amateur Radio Field Day, and the Fallon Cantaloupe Festival
Museums we have visited include the National Automobile Museum, Fort Crook Museum, Tahoe Historical Society Museum and the Western Pacific Railroad Museum
Some SNU members seek out hot springs near our rally sites. These include Kyle and Kingston hot springs and Crowley hot springs
There are ghost towns and semi-ghost towns all over Northern Nevada. The SNU has held rallies at, or nearby several of them including Unionville, Bodie, Manhattan and Belmont
An overview of all current Nevada State Parks, several of which we have visited or have been the site of SNU rallies. These include Lahontan, Fort Churchill, Ward Charcoal Ovens, and Rye Patch.
