Ken and Jeannette's trip across Central Australia in May 2010

The a map shows home base at Geelong, from which we hope to leave tomorrow morning May 9m 2010. The first part of the trip is simply indicated by straight lines but indicate that we will travel to Nhill tomorrow first to visit a long time friend. Then in a Northerly direction arriving we hope at Scout club members place in Donald which is in Central Victoria tomorrow night. Pick up a new battery from him and if possible have him check that the Scout air-conditioning has retained all its gas. Then when we leave there up to Mildura, cross the border into South Australia, across SA in a Westerly direction to Port Augusta, then ninety degree turn and travel North through the Red Centre, in the Northern Territory and on to Katherine. Then on to Hayes Creek and turn West towards Daly River. About eight days, perhaps a day or two longer.

Once Ken and Jeannette arrived at Mango Farms on the Daly River, they stayed there for several months, living in their caravan assisting with the management of the facility and helping out with the Mango harvest in the fall.
