Recollections of WBCCI – Jack Kneass, a Friend

Dale (Pee Wee) Schwamborn

Jack Kneass, a Friend

One of my friends from the early years was Jack Kneass. He was a writer, and editor, he covered travel trailers and mobile homes. He wore a classic jaunty hat that was a trade mark. I played chess with at his home. He wrote my Mother to tell her that I should read several books on chess. He said I had a promising game. Keeping with his writing profession, he lived in a mobile home.

Jack was a friend.

Not only my friend, but he was a good friend of Wally’s, Helen and Airstream. Jack wrote “Some Notes on Wally Byam” in January 1969. You will find his writing, interesting and to the point. It will confirm stories about Wally, and give you Jack’s personal friendship with Wally.

Thank you Jack, for your friendship, your article and your personal relationship with Wally, this is a contribution to the Airstream Story.
