SNU Rallies at Boca Rest

Location: Northwest of Reno about twenty miles. Take I-80 west towards Truckee. Take the Hershdale exit and go over the bridge and up the road to the dam. About 1 mile from the freeway. Continue around the east side of the reservoir for about one half mile. You will see Boca Rest Campground on the left side of the road.

Facilities and fees : Available only between May and October - Pit toilets, potable water. Packed dirt and fairly level area for parking. Usually there is no camping fee during the winter months.

Boondocking SNU Style: SNU rallies are a great way to experience camping “off grid” Our usual rally sites have no electricity or other hookups. Water is frequently not available. For the SNU, this type of camping enhances the experience and we are never without all the comforts of home
