SNU Rally – Lassen RV Resort

Sunday September 24, 2017
Three Day rally for SNU and WBCCI members.
Visitors welcome
- Location: Northern California – Lassen
RV Park is located one mile off of Hwy. 299 and eight miles east of
McArthur in the foothills among numerous trees. This is 175 miles
North of Reno via Hwy 395.

Events and activities: Morning coffee klatch is from about 7
to 9. Happy hours will likely occur on Friday and Saturday starting
about 4 p.m. Shared meals will be Thursday and Saturday around 5
p.m. All gatherings will be informal and BYO (bring your own) to
share as suits your karma. Other than scheduled activities, if you
want to coordinate and plan, then form your own conspiracy with
whomever is handy!

Special activities: Activities will include a movie night
with popcorn and beverages, a waffle brunch and a catered lunch and
a dinner. There will also be various and sundry displays in the
screened-in event structure. Other possible events are a lecture by
a local historian, guitar entertainment (possibly with an Hawaiian
theme), and a black powder demonstration

Facilities: Gravel roads. Lots of trees. The park has both
pull-through and back in sites. All sites are quite roomy and long
with nice space in between. They can comfortably accommodate larger
rigs. The park has been described as a boondocking atmosphere with
most RV park amenities. All sites have water, electricity, and
sewer. The park also has a covered picnic area, a shower room and
laundry, a BBQ area, and a swimming pool. About the only thing
lacking is cable or satellite and cell coverage is ify.

Costs: Fees for this rally are $120 per rig which includes 3
nights full hookup park fees and two catered meals.

on a first to arrive basis.

– Arrival time - anytime after noon on Thursday September 21, 2017

-- Note: If someone wants to arrive before the first rally
day or stay after the last one you will have to make arrangements
with the Park yourself and also pay for the extra nights yourself.
If you arrive early, you may choose one of the sites reserved for
the rally.

the Rally Site: The SNU now provides the means for
you to put its rally sites on your electronic map. If you don't have
a GPS or a PND or a computer with a mapping program, you can still
take the file and use it to find coordinates on your paper maps.

Boondocking SNU
Style: SNU rallies are a great way to experience camping
“off grid” Our usual rally sites have no electricity or other
hookups. Water is frequently not available. For the SNU, this type
of camping enhances the experience and we are never without all the
comforts of home
