Rally – Eagle Lake, Rocky Point East

Thursday August 26 to Sunday August 29, 2010

RSVP for rally - Host – Anita Leipper

3 Day rally for SNU and WBCCI members. Visitors welcome. Board meeting on Saturday open to all.

Location: Northern California – Lassen County - Eagle Lake Rocky Point East is 30 miles north of Susanville on Highway 139 and about a mile west on Lassen County Road A-1. The turnoff to Rock point is just beyond the BLM campground where we have held previous SNU rallies. To get to the rally site from Susanville travel north on Highway 139 for 30 miles. Turn west (left) on County Road A-1 and travel approximately 5 miles. Turn south (left) on Lakeside drive in the Bucks Bay subdivision. Travel south to the Rocky Point access road. Watch for signs to Rocky Point. Follow the unimproved dirt road south along the shoreline until you reach the campground area.

This is a dispersed area right on the lake. If for some reason we are not able to access Rocky Point, the rally will be at the BLM campground.

** New March 2010 - The SNU now provides the means for you to put its rally sites on your electronic map. If you don't have a GPS or a PND or a computer with a mapping program, you can still take the file and use it to find coordinates on your paper maps.

What to expect at an SNU rally

Never been to an SNU rally? This page will give you information on arrival and departure times, meals, activities, and other information that will help make the rally an enjoyable experience.

Boondocking SNU Style

SNU rallies are a great way to experience camping “off grid” Our usual rally sites have no electricity or other hookups. Water is frequently not available. For the SNU, this type of camping enhances the experience and we are never without all the comforts of home
