Rally at the Petersen Ranch near Pittville, CA

Thursday July 23 to Sunday July 26, 2009

RSVP for rally - Hosts – Spencer and Jill Thomas and Anita Leipper

3 Day rally for SNU and WBCCI members. Visitors welcome. SNU Board meeting on Saturday open to all.

Location: The Ranch is located off Pittville road. The entire route has been checked by SNU members and it is accessible for all size rigs. There is about 15 miles of mostly gravel road to get to the ranch. The roads are level and curves are minimal. There are no boulders or other obstacles to worry about. Anita will arrive early and will post signs on the roads to the rally site.

What to expect at an SNU rally

Never been to an SNU rally? This page will give you information on arrival and departure times, meals, activities, and other information that will help make the rally an enjoyable experience.

Arrival time - anytime after noon on Thursday July 25th

Fees: Kitty Kall: $5 per rig per night payable at the rally or online in advance (see below)

Events and activities: Morning coffee klatch is from about 7 to 9. Happy hours will likely occur on Friday and Saturday starting about 5 p.m. The SNU business meeting will be held Saturday at about 1 p.m. following a pot luck lunch. All gatherings will be informal and BYO (bring your own) to share as suits your karma. If you want to coordinate and plan, then form your own conspiracy with whomever is handy! If there are no fire restrictions, bring wood for campfires

Special Event: Randy will cook waffles for us on Saturday morning. Other menu items will depend on who comes to the rally, what they want and what they bring.

Weather: May be warm during the day and can be cool at night.

Facilities: None. fairly level area for parking. packed dirt.

Nearby attractions: This ranch sits in a very scenic area of Northern California. Within a short distance of the ranch is the Lava Beds National Monument, Tule Lake National Wildlife Refuge, Medicine Lake, and the towns of Fall River Mills – home to Fall River Wild Rice, and McArthur. Burney falls. Hat Creek Lassen National Park
