Rally Davis Creek Group Area – Washoe Valley

Thursday March 27 to Sunday 30, 2008

Located in Washoe Valley between Reno and Carson City Nevada

3 Day rally, SNU members, non member Airstream owners and potential Airstream owners welcome. Board meeting on Saturday open to all.

Location: From Reno take Rt 395 south to Washoe Valley (approximately 8 miles from the Mt. Rose junction). Turn right on Old 395. Go about .04 miles to Davis Creek Rd. turn right. When you enter the park continue through the main camping area, down a slight dip and the gravel road to the group area will be on your right. Coming from the south you can take the exit at the top of the hill North of Carson City to Old 395 and follow that to Davis Creek on the other end of the valley.

What to expect at an SNU rally

Never been to an SNU rally? This page will give you information on arrival and departure times, meals, activities, and other information that will help make the rally an enjoyable experience.

Additional Information on the Davis Creek March Rally

Arrival time - anytime after noon on Thursday March 27

Fees: Kitty Kall: $5 per rig per night payable at the rally or online in advance (see below)

Events and activities: Morning coffee klatch is from about 7 to 9 am. Happy hours will likely occur on Friday and Saturday starting about 5 p.m. The unit meeting will be held Saturday at noon after a pot luck lunch. All gatherings will be informal and BYO (bring your own) to share as suits your karma. If you want to coordinate and plan, then form your own conspiracy with whomever is handy! Bring wood for campfires

Weather: moderate, March can be changeable. Expect anything from rain or snow showers to sunny and warm.

Facilities: The park does have toilets and water but March is early so don't count on these facilities. Paved roads except gravel to the group area and gravel parking in the group area. Lots of trees

Nearby attractions: Hiking, ranger talks, and the opportunity to visit nearby Bower's Mansion or the cemetery of Old Washoe City.

If you can't make it for the entire time, feel free to join us for a few hours, one day, or whatever time frame fits your schedule.
