Reference Table of Airstream RV's

This table is a general reference and although an attempt has been made to be accurate and complete based on the Airstreams we have photo galleries of on this website it should not be considered definitive. Over the years Airstream has been inconsistent in the use of names and whether they refer to a model of Airstream or a trim package. There are several websites that have more information on this aspect of the Airstream RV.

Vintage Airstreams -|-

Prior to the 1980's the name of the type of Airstream (Bambi, Overlander, etc) was consistent and directly related to the length of the trailer. After 1980 names referred more to a trim package and although many of the old Airstream names were used, they no longer clearly identify the length of trailer.

Some of the Airstream trim packages include:

Safari – a basic package on the lower end of the price scale
Sport – Usually a Safari but a narrow body model
International – A high end trim package
Excella – Another high end package used mostly before 1990
Classic – Mostly post 1980's high end trim package
CCD – 2000's Christopher Deams designer model

The Airstream types in the header of this table refer to the lengths and types as designated in the 1970's
