They have many productions throughout the year (The Nutcracker, Dance recitals, Father Daughter Dance, Teas, as well as community performances in at Long Term Care or Retirement Homes. The Building we toured was originally the Movie Theatre for the Weed Heights Community (1950s through the 80s) – Mary Swirsky |

Visit to the old schoolhouse |
On 9/16 7 of our campers went out for fine Mexican dining. Afterwards we went to the Yerington Theater of the Arts. The building was our schoolhouse built in 1912. Since Covid there is not much activity or events. Except for a group of locals that meet every Friday night at the Cafe Bar for a lively "SPEAK EASY" from 6 to at least 9pm. Proceeds benefit YTA. We were given a nice tour of the gallery, the theatre and the restored classrooms upstairs before we had refreshments.– Mary Swirsky |
