Head west out of Hawthorne NV on hwy 359. Turn north on to Lucky Boy Past towards the ghost towns of Aurora and Bodie. Lucky Boy comes out on hwy 299 which runs between Smith, NV and Bridgeport, CA The new (2015) Walker River Recreation Area is off of this road
