Campground by the Lake, South Lake Tahoe

Location: Driving Hwy 50 west from Carson City, Campground by the Lake is just west of downtown South Lake Tahoe. The address is 1150 Rufus Allen Blvd. Turn left (south) off Lake Tahoe Blvd (Hwy 50) and turn right (west) at the campground entrance. The SNU will be in loop B

Nearby attractions: Downtown South Lake Tahoe is a short drive from the campground. Lake Tahoe is right across the highway. The Lake Tahoe Historical Society museum is a short walk from the rally site.

Finding the Rally Site: The SNU now provides the means for you to put its rally sites on your electronic map. If you don't have a GPS or a PND or a computer with a mapping program, you can still take the file and use it to find coordinates on your paper maps.

Boondocking SNU Style: SNU rallies are a great way to experience camping “off grid” Our usual rally sites have no electricity or other hookups. Water is frequently not available. For the SNU, this type of camping enhances the experience and we are never without all the comforts of home
