Location: Off Hwy 88 in Hope Valley, CA at the Blue Lakes Road intersection. From Reno, take 395 south to SR88. Follow SR88 through Woodfords into Hope Valley. Continue past the Meyers turnoff. Go about 3 or 4 miles to the Blue Lakes road. Make a left on Blue Lakes road. The first set of camping areas is only 1/10 of a mile on your right behind the outhouse there are spaces under the trees. To the left is an open meadow.
Facilities and fees : For both areas the roads and parking is packed dirt and fairly level. Site one is right off of Hwy 89 Site two was about a mile further down the road to Blue Lakes. Site two was right on the Carson river. Both are dispersed USFS sites with no facilities and no fees.

Notes: We chose the first site because of easy access from the road and concerns over the weather. When we took a tour we discovered site two which was in the trees and right on the river. We then made the decision to move the rally to this second location
