Nearby attractions: Subway tunnel and visitors center in Old Station are a great place to visit to find out all about the nearby attractions and activities Lassen Volcanic National Park is just about 12 miles from the Hat Creek campground. McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park is a short drive North of the campground.

Finding the Rally Site: The SNU now provides the means for you to put its rally sites on your electronic map. If you don't have a GPS or a PND or a computer with a mapping program, you can still take the file and use it to find coordinates on your paper maps.
What to expect at an SNU rally : Never been to an SNU rally? This page will give you information on arrival and departure times, meals, activities, and other information that will help make the rally an enjoyable experience.
Boondocking SNU Style: SNU rallies are a great way to experience camping “off grid” Our usual rally sites have no electricity or other hookups. Water is frequently not available. For the SNU, this type of camping enhances the experience and we are never without all the comforts of home
Notes: The SNU scheduled a rally at Hat Creek based on the great experiences of the Monterey Bay Unit. By 2006 things had changed considerably. The group area was divided into 3 separate sections. Parking was restricted. You had to park along the roads around the section you reserved but not on the road. It is no longer a place that is conducive to a group of RV’s and seems to be more amenable to tent camping.
