For this discussion, there are two types of ideas and activities being reviewed.
These types of activities would have minimal interaction with the SNU. As a courtesy the instigator should take into consideration the current SNU rally schedule. The SNU may, if the SNU members agree, offer to help promote or communicate such an event within the establish SNU systems to all SNU members. Any such promotion would clarify that the event is not sponsored by the SNU.
These types of activities must first be brought before the membership of the SNU for discussion and review. After gaining member input and approval for the project the person initiating the idea will work with the SNU to plan, carry out and evaluate the activitiy.
The SNU is a group. As such any ideas or suggestions that are considering the use of SNU resources are first discussed, voted on, agreed upon, and supported by the group as a whole.
The primary focus of the Sierra Nevada Unit is holding rallies in the Great Basin of Northern Nevada and Northeastern California. Holding and supporting rallies and other activities within our primary territory is the main function of all SNU resources
The SNU encourages all members to provide ideas and suggestions to enhance Airstreaming experiences.
Any caravan, rally or other activity that is carried out under the auspices of the SNU must take into consideration any legal or liability issues as outlined in the WBCCI governance documents and the SNU bylaws.
Any activity carried out either as an SNU function or as a project by an individual SNU member should keep in mind the values and good standing of the SNU as a whole.
Any such activity must be self supporting unless the SNU membership as a group, approves some level of support.
Any rally or caravan being considered should if at all possible begin or end with a regularly scheduled SNU rally or should be carried out outside the SNU established rally season.
