Rally – Lassen RV Resort

This will be the SNU 40th
Anniversary rally. To celebrate several special events and activities
are being planned.
Three Day rally for SNU and WBCCI members.
Visitors welcome
- Location: Northern California – Lassen
RV Park is located one mile off of Hwy. 299 and eight miles east of
McArthur in the foothills among numerous trees. This is 175 miles
North of Reno via Hwy 395.

Events and activities: There will be special dinners on
Friday and Saturday evenings. Saturday’s dinner will include
Anniversary celebrations. Saturday brunch will feature Randy’s
special waffles. Morning coffee klatch will probably be from about
7 to 9 each day.

Weather: In September days can be hot and nights cool.

Facilities: Gravel roads. Lots of trees. The park has both
pull-through and back in sites. All sites are quite roomy and long
with nice space in between. They can comfortably accommodate larger
rigs. The park has been described as a boondocking atmosphere with
most RV park amenities. All sites have water, electricity, and
sewer. The park also has a covered picnic area, a shower room and
laundry, a BBQ area, and a swimming pool. About the only thing
lacking is cable or satellite and cell coverage is ify.
Costs: The reservation costs for this rally
will be $120 per rig inclusive (park site for 3 nights and any
special meals). Reservations and payments in full should be made to
the SNU by September 1, 2016

Among the many nearby attractions are Fort Crook Museum in Fall
River Mills, the Allen radio telescope array, McArthur-Burney Falls
Memorial State Park, Lava Beds National Monument, Lassen Volcanic
National Park. Fall River Brewery, Fall River & Wild Rice. If
you want to coordinate and plan activities, then form your own
conspiracy with whomever is handy!

you to put its rally sites on your electronic map. If you don't have
a GPS or a PND or a computer with a mapping program, you can still
take the file and use it to find coordinates on your paper maps.

Boondocking SNU
Style: SNU rallies are a great way to experience camping
“off grid” Our usual rally sites have no electricity or other
hookups. Water is frequently not available. For the SNU, this type
of camping enhances the experience and we are never without all the
comforts of home
