Rally at Walker River Resort

Located near Smith Nevada Off of Hwy 208

What: 2 day Rally, members & guests welcome. Board meeting Saturday open to all.

When: Friday April 28 through Sunday April 30, 2006 (Note: Thursday April 27 is a bonus day. You might not be able to camp in the area designated for the rally)

Arrival time - anytime after noon on Friday April 28

Where: From Reno, NV, take US 395 South 60 miles to Hwy 208 which is about one half mile South of the Holbrook Junction on 395. Turn East (left) on Hwy 208 and travel 20 miles to the town of Smith, NV. Go through Smith 2 miles and turn North (left) on Hudson Way. Travel 3 miles on Hudson Way to the resort.

Kitty Kall: Each rally participant will be responsible for making their own reservations to Walker River Resort and paying their own camping fee directly to the resort. A donation to the SNU for the rally kitty would be appreciated but not required.

Events and activities: Morning coffee klatch is from about 7 to 9 on Saturday and Sunday. Happy hours will likely occur on Friday and Saturday starting about 5 p.m. A potluck dinner is planned for Saturday about 5:30pm The unit meeting will be held Saturday at about 1 p.m. following the pot luck lunch. All gatherings will be informal and BYO (bring your own) to share as suits your karma. If you want to coordinate and plan, then form your own conspiracy with whomever is handy!

Facilities: Large shaded pull-through sites for RV. Full hook-ups. Fishing, sporting clay, swimming, club house, jacuzzi, and other amenities

Nearby Attractions: The Walker River Resort provides a wide variety of activities including fly fishing, sporting clays, ATV trails, swimming pool, lounge, store and laundromat. There are also several nearby ghost towns like Hudson and Aurora. Then there is the Walker River with rafting, fishing and other water activities.

If you can't make it for the entire time, feel free to join us for a few hours, one day, or whatever time frame fits your schedule.
