Balloons this year were limited to 750. The previous record in 2000 was 1000 Balloons. The Fiesta directors decided it was too many and reduced participants to 750, which still made for a lot of ascension problems. Quite a few failed to get airborne and some that did lift off returned to earth a lot sooner than they planned.
There were 150 Airstreamers at this event. I tried to capture some of the mass ascension as the balloons passed overhead of some of the Airstreams
