SNU Cooks

The SNU has some great cooks, both men and women. Because of their efforts we have had some fantastic meals over the years. I am highlighting some of the contributions from the men in our group including Don Williams, Randy Grossmann, Jerry Thornburg, Brian Root

Don and sourdough. Breads, cakes, pancakes and other treats. Always great to see what he comes up with next. Don also made a dutch oven peach cobbler at an Obsidian Dome rally. Then there is Randy and his waffles. They were a feature at several SNU rallies. Jerry’s contributions include many Nevada Surf and Turf dinners at Weed Heights rallies. Jerry has also cooked roasts on a battery operated spit over an open fire. One special treat was a deep fried turkey at a Thanksgiving rally. Then there is the famous fresh fish fry at a Pyramid rally. Many of the more recent rallies have included Brian’s pizzas made in his portable pizza oven. With a delicious crust and a variety of toppings, Brian’s pizzas are a welcome addition to the rally menus.
