Zephyr
Cove RV Resort, Zephyr Cove, NV2011 is the 35th Anniversary of the Sierra Nevada Unit, WBCCI. As part of the celebrations for this milestone the SNU has two special rallies planned. The primary celebration will take place in September 2011. This will be a rally at Zephyr Cove with a dinner cruise on the M.S. Dixie, The other special event will be the SNU's first ever joint rally with another WBCCI Unit – The San Fernando Valley Unit, WBCCI at Obsidian Dome/Mammoth Lakes in August 2011.
Both of these rallies require reservations. Below is a description of both of these rallies and the rates as we know them as of November 2010. No payments are necessary at this time from potential participants but we do need to get as accurate a participation count as possible, preferably by January 2011.
We understand that it is difficult to plan this far in advance and that things can change but for us to make these special rallies successful we must get the support of our members. We must know, that barring unforeseen events, you are interested and want to participate in one or both of these rallies.

The information we have as of November 2010 is that the the park requires a minimum of 10 Units for a group reservation.
Rates are: 20% discount for group. Regular rate is $43 plus tax. Group rate is $34 plus tax. Tax is 13%.
Deposit for first night for number of reservations. Refundable all or in part up to 30 days prior to arrival date. Check is OK. Remaining payment upon checkout.
Minimum of two nights required for each site. No guarantee that sites will be together, but they try to keep them together.
Dinner

The M.S. Dixie is docked directly across the street (Hwy 50) from the Zephyr Cove RV Park. The SNU dinner cruise will be Saturday evening. The cost will be $25 per person. There is a 20 person group minimum. It's a three hour cruise with entertainment. Dinner will be ordering from a menu with many options. (Note: total cost for the dinner cruise is $50. The SNU is supporting half the costs of the dinner cruise)

As of November 2011, they have 8 full-sites (water, electric,
sewer, cable) available for Sunday, 8/28 to Wed. 8/31. 2010 rates
$58.76/night. They have many Partial Hook up sites (water, electric,
cable) available - on a paved lot. 2010 rate $53/night They
have not decided what the 2011 rates will be, and will not know until
January 2011 when they will call me back. Cancellation policy is 1
night camping fee - non-refundable - when making the reservation.
They will not be taking credit card info to reserve sites
until January, but are making "temporary" reservations
until January. So, the campground manager "temporarily"
reserved the remaining 8 full hookup sites for me until January when
they will be calling me to finalize what we want and take partial
payment. At that time, the non-refundable policy will take effect.
Therefore, we have until January to let our people know and get a
headcount of how many sites we will want to reserve.
