Rally Ramhorn Springs, a BLM campground (North of Susanville, CA off US 395)

What: 3 day Rally, members & guests welcome. Board meeting Saturday open to all.

When: Thursday May 17 to Sunday May 20, 2007

Arrival time - anytime after noon on Thursday May 17

Where: From Susanville: Travel north on U. S. Highway 395 approximately 45 miles. The access road is approximately 2.4 miles north of the California Department of Transportation Roadside Rest Area. Turn east (right) onto BLM Road 26000. Travel approximately 2.5 miles. The campground will be adjacent to the road on your left. BLM Road 26000 is an unimproved dirt road that can become impassable as a result of wet weather. The road is passable by vehicles pulling trailers but can be rough and dusty. (from the BLM website) Camping is in individual sites.

Fees: No campground fees but the BLM does appreciate donations.

Kitty Kall: $5 per rig per night payable at the rally or online in advance (see below)

Events and activities: Morning coffee klatch is from about 7 to 9 on Saturday and Sunday. Happy hours will likely occur on Friday and Saturday starting about 5 p.m. The unit meeting will be held Saturday at about 1 p.m. following the pot luck lunch. All gatherings will be informal and BYO (bring your own) to share as suits your karma. If you want to coordinate and plan, then form your own conspiracy with whomever is handy! Bring wood for campfires

Weather: moderate, can be cool at night.

Facilities: Vault toilets, no potable water. packed earth and gravel surface, individual sites

Nearby attractions: hiking and bike riding possibilities. Good birding area.

If you can't make it for the entire time, feel free to join us for a few hours, one day, or whatever time frame fits your schedule.
