Coup porn. Nonsense runs rampant

The Trump CT Scanner. Victor Davis Hanson – “These past four years, Donald Trump, intentionally or not, became a CT scanner that produced three-dimensional images of the innards of elite institutions and people, showing us what is beneath their veneers.”

“Once upon a time, retired U.S. military personnel were among the most revered of distinguished public servants in the nation. Now?

Perhaps not so much. It was one thing to violate either the spirit or letter of the Uniform Code of Military Justice by disparaging their commander in chief. But it is quite another for dozens of our bemedaled heroes to claim their sitting president is a veritable Mussolini, fond of Nazi-like tactics of division, and an adopter of Birkenau-like detention methods—and thus in a nation of laws and scheduled presidential elections the president should leave “the sooner the better.”

The irony is that all these distinguished and outspoken retired officers were abjectly silent when the prior administration systematically weaponized the DOJ, CIA, and FBI to sabotage an oppositional campaign, a presidential transition, and presidency, and, in particular, unlawfully and unethically framed a fellow officer Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.

True Mussolini-like or fascist tactics are better found in forging evidence submitted to a FISA court, unlawfully leaking the unmasked names of surveilled American citizens, and hiring foreign nationals to create a false dossier to undermine a presidential campaign.

Coup porn became a new phrase to describe these calls of ex-military and military analysts for forced removal of Trump from office. What was the catalyst for these astounding statements?

Biden’s COVID Plan: Close The Economy, Open The Border. I & I Editorial Board – “Curious, indeed. Until you come to realize that Biden and his fellow Democrats care less about controlling the virus than they do about controlling the country. If pointless lockdowns and open borders serve that purpose, containing the coronavirus is irrelevant.”

Vegas Oddsmaker Says, “The Fix Was In, Trump Was Robbed, This Election Was Stolen”. Wayne Root – “It was the most bizarre call in Election Night history. Fox News called Arizona for Biden. Why? It wasn’t even close to over.” … “Fox News made sure Biden had the electoral lead all night. That’s another big part of the story.”

“Folks, someone knew. The fix was in. A few key people made millions betting on this election. They knew the exact minute to jump in. They knew exactly when a Trump landslide would turn to a Biden victory, with the help of a fake TV network call and fake ballots.

Awaiting the Kraken. Tadas Klimas – “The only way the Left could win this election was by massive fraud. That is what they realized during the early morning hours after midnight of Election Day. … So they piled it on. … This really is startling. Not that the Left cheated, not that they engage in psychological warfare to cover up their cheating.”

Despite all this, Hinderacker, Tucker, and others note problems and issues with the Trump case.

Don’t ‘Californicate’ The Rest Of America. I & I Editorial Board – “As hundreds of thousands of Californians flee the once-Golden State, the rest of America should ask itself: Will they bring their politics with them?” … “will California’s broken model be adopted by much of the rest of the country, turning reliably red states blue and seeding the nation with high taxes, more rules, corrupt politicians, and slow growth?”

“We hope not, but given the 2020 election, it’s not an idle question. California’s political class is widely regarded as among the most corrupt, irresponsible, hypocritical, hard left and incompetent of any comparable group of state politicians in the country, which is saying a lot.

The troubles have been on full display this week.

Correct Diagnostics Needed. Walter Williams – “What really explains the problems in the black community?” … “The bottom line is that while every vestige of racial discrimination has not been eliminated, today’s discrimination cannot go very far in explaining the problems faced by a large segment of the black community.”

‘Renewable Energy’ and its Four Icebergs. Rafe Champion – “Truly, we live in interesting times, the grand scheme to run an industrial civilisation without the 24-hour contribution of conventional power sources being the most interesting of all.”
