Corporate Media Is Ignoring Broadest Riots In U.S. History, But Americans Hurt By These Riots Aren’t. Michael Tracey – “This, along with the pandemic, is clearly the preeminent political issue of Summer 2020 — as opposed to the presidential campaign, which is almost like an afterthought.” This is reposted from Medium at the Federalist. Strange to see a TDS problem (e.g. “daily antics of Donald Trump”) poke through the mist but otherwise provides a broad scope for the civil misbehavior that is rather frightening.

“Despite the incredible amount of destruction that I’ve personally witnessed, it’s only a tiny fraction. If I hadn’t made a point to spend six weeks traveling around the country, I never would’ve gotten this information.

Is a “national conversation” warranted here? I don’t know. That’s a ridiculous cliche, anyway. But I do know the enormity of what transpired over these past two months has not been adequately conveyed.

We Asked Our Readers to Send Photos of the Democrat Party Sanctioned Destruction and Rioting in their Community — We Were Shocked at What They Sent In. Jim Hoft – “The mainstream media HAS YET to air this destruction from the weeks of Democrat-endorsed violence and destruction.” The market in plywood and OSB must be soaring.

The lunacy of the ‘largely peaceful protest’. Robert Jackman – “People have been sniggering at that one ever since May 30 when a wretched MSNBC reporter repeated the mantra — ‘it is not, generally speaking, unruly’ — while standing in front of a burning police station.” … “By now, the mainstream media has perfected the mendacious gambit with a sort of stereoscopic vision, saying one thing while also saying the opposite.” … “The whole farce reminds me of George Orwell’s tart reminder about how the corruption of language abets political corruption and vice-versa.”

Attorney General William Barr Squares Off With House Democrats Over Protests, Russiagate. Tyler Durden – “which should be fun since Chairman Nadler thinks the violence in Portland is a ‘myth.’” Then there’s the Durham investigation, holder Russian collusion investigation rumors and allegations, and the Flynn case …

Barr speaks. Scott Johnson – “His opening statement has been uploaded to Scrbid. I have embedded it below.”

Outsiders Like Me Know America Is The Greatest Country In The World. Nikola Kedhi – “Despite 45 years of Soviet propaganda demonizing the United States, Albanians never forgot what President Reagan often referred to as the ‘shining city on a hill.’”

“Today, however, as America finds itself under attack, it falls upon not just Americans, but to every one of us to return the favor and stand beside it in its hour of need. The ideology that invaded my country for half a century, tore down monuments and tradition, replaced freedom with oppression, prohibited freedom of speech, encouraged spying, swapped hope with terror, and brought famine instead of prosperity, is now trying to destroy the United States of America.

This evil ideology knows as long as America exists, all nations will look at it for strength, inspiration, and courage, and will fight for their dignity and freedoms. The heralds of the radical leftist ideology infecting the United States have gathered their strength and are trying to destroy American. A nation that gives equal opportunities to every man and woman, the population who welcomes everyone into its bosom, the system that encourages economic success, entrepreneurship, innovation, and risk-taking is now facing threats from within.

Biden: If I Lose It’s Because Trump Stole The Election. I & I Editorial Board – “Joe Biden is leading in the polls by wide margins, but he’s already making excuses should he lose to Donald Trump in November.” This is ugly. “Biden claims that merely by raising the specter of widespread fraud brought on by these Democratic voting schemes, Trump is trying to steal the election.”

Are You Sure ‘Vote for Joe Biden or We’ll Kill You’ Is the Best Campaign Pitch? Stacey Lennox – “Supporters of a candidate with confidence in the politician’s ability to win based on making the better argument don’t usually use the heckler’s-veto-on-steroids to coerce people to their point of view. ”

“The idea that President Trump is framing this as some sort of urban/rural divide is just intellectually dishonest. Brownstein is part of an elite corporate media that has been denigrating vast swaths of Americans between the coasts since the 2016 primaries. Deplorable, backward, uneducated, and the full complement of -ists and -isms have been applied with a broad brush. These geniuses just assume there is not an intellectual argument to be made that opposes their worldview.

“It Reeks Of Orwell” – The COVID Coup (& How To Unlock Ourselves). Angelo Codevilla – “Bad judgments and usurpations—the scam, not the germs—define this disaster’s dimensions.”

“What history will record as the great COVID scam of 2020 is based on 1) a set of untruths and baseless assertions—often outright lies—about the novel coronavirus and its effects; 2) the production and maintenance of physical fear through a near-monopoly of communications to forestall challenges to the U.S.. ruling class, led by the Democratic Party, 3) defaulted opposition on the part of most Republicans, thus confirming their status as the ruling class’s junior partner. No default has been greater than that of America’s Christian churches—supposedly society’s guardians of truth.

Since obfuscation, pretense, and lies concerning the COVID-19 are the effective agents of the panic and of the seizure of arbitrary power, truth and clarity about it are the foundational requirements for escaping its effects. Here is a dose.
Irrefutable if indirect indication that COVID is no plague also comes from comparison between the number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 during any given period with the number of deaths due to all causes for the same period—despite official inflation in the number of deaths attributed to the virus.

This last is an example of gross evidence of the sort that impugns many of the poorly based conclusions and presumptions used for FUD mongering.

California Coronavirus Cases are “Plateauing” Because of Face Masks. Daniel Greenfield – “Conflating social distancing and wearing masks is iffy. There’s little to no evidence that masks do anything.” … “Masks have become a cargo cult fetish in the wargaming of the pandemic. There are spikes in places where people wear masks and don’t wear masks.” The gross evidence speaks again.

Coronavirus in one state (78). Scott Johnson – “New deaths attributed by the authorities to COVID-19 are vanishingly low.” … “It should be difficult for Governor Walz to continue one-man rule in Minnesota. It should be difficult to sustain the panic underlying his exercise of “emergency” authority.”
