hit hardest the most vulnerable

The Resistance Snatches Defeat From The Jaws of Victory. Bob Maistros – “blaming the president for the current tempests and outrageously comparing him to Nazis – along with the psychobabble emanations of other politicians-in-uniform astride the military-industrial complex – represent virtue-signaling elitism at its purest. And yet more proof that otherwise very smart people still don’t get what 2016 was about.”

David Horowitz’s Thumbs-Up for Trump. Bruce Bawer – “The definitive summing-up of Trump’s efforts to enact his “big agenda” — and of his enemies’ obsession to foil him at every turn.”

Amazon Paying Black Lives Matter to Burn More Small Businesses. Daniel Greenfield – “One way to look at these riots is as the Sharpton scam gone national. Burn down a whole bunch of small businesses and big business will pay you to do it all over again. ” … “it’s not only legal, but socially approved.”

Jeff Bezos: I’m Glad to Lose Every Single Conservative Customer Amazon Has. Ace of Spades

The Old Man Pushed Down by the Cops? Look Like He Was Indeed an Antifa Agitator Attempting to “Skim” the Cops’ Microphones. Ace of Spades – “Congratulations to the leftwing media for successfully running another op, and congratulations to all the “conservative” media voices who amplified this without the slightest skepicism, the exact same way they blasted out the Covington Kids operation.”

President Trump Notes Odd Behavior of Buffalo Protester… sundance – “President Donald Trump has noted the unusual behavior of the Buffalo protester who was captured on a now-viral video last week” … “During his engagement Gugino appears to be attempting to capture the radio communications signature of Buffalo police officers.”

“The capture of communications signals [explained in detail here] is a method of police tracking used by Antifa to monitor the location of police. In some cases the more high tech capture software can even decipher communication encryption allowing the professional agitators to block (black-out), jam, or interfere with police communication. In addition, many police body-cams are bluetooth enabled which allows syncing.

We’re Not All In This Together. Ibid – “The governors running the lockdowns are not in this with us.” … “Lockdowns were always for little people. Not for celebrities, politicians or political radicals.” … “Each false cause is replaced by another big lie. If you can see past the lies, you’re not “Together” with the “We”. You’re one of the last Americans.”

Celebrities Bail Out Rioters and Looters. Prager University – “Ted Cruz is right: this is shameful.”

Systemic Racism and Bigotry Are the Lifeblood of the Left. Dov Fischer – “And so there was no coverage of the pogroms in Los Angeles.” … “The person with lesser credentials won because of his (male) or her (female) or their (whatever other gender they got) race. … That is racism. Of course it is racism.”

“How low will they grovel to get power? They will kneel on the floor. They actually will kneel on the floor, groveling for power.

Of course, as Nancy Pelosi just found, she kneeled so long that she could not even get back up. You think she was kneeling to Jesus? Nancy Pelosi is America’s leading Catholic proponent of abortion

And who, pray tell, was Schumer kneeling to? He claims to be Jewish, so he is not kneeling to Jesus. But wait! It is a core tenet of Judaism that kneeling is forbidden except on Yom Kippur during the recitation of the Kohen service … Perhaps nowhere in the Bible is that core Judaic tenet more dramatically central and underscored than in the Book of Esther

So to whom was Schumer kneeling? Why, the Senate Minority Leader was not kneeling at all. Rather, he was groveling, groveling for votes from Black voters and perhaps kneeling to firebrand racist Al Sharpton.

The Left kneels. They grovel. They bow down to others, as Obama — then holding the office of president of the United States — bowed down to Arab Muslim oil sheiks. That is their way. They bow. They kneel. They grovel.

And they hate.

10 Rules for Postmodern Rioting. Victor Davis Hanson – “Is it deemed more or less evil to wear a mask while hitting a store owner over the head with a two-by-four?”

“Selfies … Masks … Race … Staples … Class … The Children … Because reasons … Media … Stuff Happens … Mixed-up Messaging …

in bullying fashion, looters focus on the weak and unguarded, not the strong and dangerous.

Public Health Experts are Embarrassing Themselves. David Bernstein – “While the current protests are certainly well-meaning and anger over police violence and racism justified, claiming that the protests’ positive effects on public health will exceed the harms from the spread of coronavirus is an assertion of faith, not science.” Bernstein skirts the problem of a priori axioms regarding the existence of harmful systemic racism as being portrayed by the current riots. He does get into the basic fallacies and contradictions of the arguments presented.

“But here’s the thing: while it’s understandable that people want to take to the streets to protest racism and state violence, there is no epidemiological or other scientific evidence that such protests will have positive public health effects by spurring positive social and political change. Any scientist or public health expert who suggests otherwise is engaging in political and sociological speculation that is not only beyond their expertise, but that really beyond anyone’s expertise. But it’s worse when such speculation purports to be scientific, from experts whose credibility is crucial for containing the current and future pandemics.

The public health folks who are comparing the negative Covid-related health effects of the rallies to the health effects of racism and police violence are committing a fundamental methodological error.

Remaking Post-Covid-19 Capitalism in the West: Lessons for the East. Charles Rotter – “”

“we are now being sold yet another bill of goods. We are told from almost every quarter that the economic recovery from the pandemic-panic induced lockdowns has to be “green”. Political leaders and mass media editors hitched to the climate change bandwagon cite the well-known if cynical slogan “never let a crisis go to waste” – commonly attributed to former President Obama’s Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel. Politicians and “thought leaders” ceaselessly claim that massive sums of money need to be spent on economic stimulus plans to recover from the self-induced economic coma and that the spending has to be “sustainable” (aka “green”). Not only will this save us from the “crisis of capitalism” but it is deemed vital for the future of human civilization itself.

For the billions of people that have newly emerged from poverty in recent decades and are beginning to enjoy the early fruits of economic growth and technological progress across Asia, Africa and Latin America – among the greatest achievements in human history – the West’s ideological crusade against capitalism and economic growth may seem self-indulgent if not altogether grotesque.

Many developing countries with large segments of the population living hand to mouth have disastrously replicated the strict lockdowns of the West without the capacity to provide the kind of welfare assistance that the developed countries have extended to their citizens. As one of India’s leading industrialists Rajiv Bajaj put it, the country has “…flattened the wrong curve. It is not the infection curve, it is the GDP curve.” The developing countries need a post-Covid-19 recovery plan that focuses on “green new deals” as much as a hole in the head.
