Looking for the happy warrior

I&I Editorial Board: Still More Evidence That Lockdowns Were A Massive Waste Of Time, Money, And Lives – “as JP Morgan’s Kolanovic noted, “Unlike rigorous testing of potential new drugs, lockdowns were administered with little consideration that they might not only cause economic devastation but potentially more deaths than COVID-19 itself.” What flies by in this look into death and destruction is that a priori assumptions for other preventive actions also suffer by the evidence noted. Lockdowns were not independent of but rather a part of a whole set of behavior impositions that cannot be easily decoupled from gross outcomes.

Julie Kelly: Useless Senate Republicans No Match for the ‘Bums of Steele’ – “In a spot-on tirade, Tucker Carlson called out Senate and House Republicans for their failures on what the president has fairly labeled #Obamagate.

“Unfortunately, in many respects, it’s already too late. The bogus collusion narrative undoubtedly influenced the 2018 midterm elections, handing control of the House to the Democrats. Reputations that have been ruined cannot be restored—Trump can’t get back the first two years of his term. Mueller’s team walks away unscathed while his lead prosecutor raises money for Joe Biden.

This whole fiasco lies at the feet of Senate Republicans. “Useless” might be too kind a description of them.

Andrea Widburg: White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany gives reporters another cheerful beatdown – “McEnany’s gift is that, like Trump himself, she’s a happy warrior. She’s never unprepared, she’s never angry, and she never has the cornered quality of a trapped rat.

J.B. Shurk: Democrat vote fraud is real, and Republicans must begin fighting back – “Don’t tell the mainstream media, but another case of “nonexistent” voter fraud managed to squeak a few times this week before “objective” journalists quickly jumped on top of the story and smothered it with a pillow.” … “I’m tired of constantly being shelled by the other side without ever firing back. Democrat vote fraud is real, and it is going nowhere, but only Republicans can choose whether to continue being victims of it.

Hannah Bleau: RNC Joins Opposition to Lawsuit Demanding Ballot Harvesting in Florida – “Per Democracy Docket, created by Marc Elias, former attorney for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and the figure behind a slew of the progressive cases seeking to use the court system to upend voting laws ensuring election integrity” … “Several Democrats, Pelosi included, have tried to use the in-person election in Wisconsin to justify their vote-by-mail agenda, despite the fact that the data does not warrant their proposals.

John Nolte: Retracting My Claim that Andrew Cuomo Is Not Responsible for Coronavirus Deaths – “My earlier assumption was based on a sound premise: there’s nothing we can do about plagues. … Weeks before — literally, weeks before — the coronavirus hit New York, we knew the virus was a unique threat to the elderly. …

“For a few seconds on Wednesday, America’s useless and corrupt media, America’s fawning Cuomosexuals, actually stopped fawning to ask the governor about his deadly nursing home policy. To defend his indefensible directive, Cuomo made three absurd and easily debunked excuses.

The bottom line is that thousands and thousands of people died unnecessarily because of Andrew Cuomo’s fatal mismanagement and equally fatal error of judgment. This is all on him, hence my retraction.

Many unhappy warriors, too.
