nightmares

William Barr Is the Democrats’ Worst Nightmare. Roger L. Simon – “Barr’s obviously been paying attention to the larger situation and that is bad news indeed for Democrats.

“The big story was the affirmative answer he gave to a question about whether he was planning to investigate the provenance of the Russia probe itself. That would, of course, include the FISA court scandal and the Steele dossier, not to mention strange–let’s call them spooky– occurrences in the UK well before the election. Barr noted he also would look at the eight criminal referrals of DOJ personnel and others coming from Devin Nunes. He further noted we could expect the inspector general’s report on these matters in May or June. He was filled with such news, much of it spontaneously given. Perhaps even John Huber will surface.

More are undoubtedly coming. Is it an accident Judicial Watch was finally able to uncover “422 pages of FBI documents showing evidence of ‘cover-up’ discussions related to the Clinton email system” just the other day? Or does it have something to do with the installation of Barr? Impossible to know at this juncture, but what is clear is we will be dealing with this a long time, all the way, it’s quite likely, to election 2020. For the Democrats, this is the original “be careful what you wish for,” especially if the investigation leads where many think it will–to the top of their party.

If I’m right, and correcting this massive malfeasance in the DOJ and FBI (with obvious encouragement from “upstairs”) is what he’s after, we should all be behind Bill Barr with all our might. He’s going to need everyone’s support.

Candace Owens Nukes Nadler’s ‘Hate Crime’ Hearing. David Catron – “The hearing today is not about “white nationalism” or “hate crimes.” It’s about fear-mongering, power and control. It’s a preview of the 2020 Democrat election strategy

“And this is by no means the only feature of Owens’ biography that the media have neglected to report. She is hardly a typical “conservative activist.” First, unlike the absurd Jussie Smollett, she has actually been the victim of a genuine hate crime. Moreover, she is a registered Democrat. However, her strong support for President Trump precludes fair coverage by the legacy media. That heresy inspired them to parrot the absurd BuzzFeed “news” story claiming that she is a Nazi apologist. Inevitably, California Democrat Ted Lieu raised this absurd claim Tuesday to smear Owens. She incinerated him:

the outrageous behavior of Nadler, Lieu, and their accomplices on the House Judiciary Committee was worse than a crime, to coin a phrase, it was a blunder. When black voters, who never see these parasites until a few days before some crucial election, watch Tuesday’s videos of Candace Owens taking these characters to school, they will begin to wonder what the Democrats have done for them lately.

The Russia Hoax was originally aimed at Flynn, not Trump. Michael Kennedy – “I am more and more coming around to the opinion of David Goldman and Michael Ledeen.

“The Russia hoax was aimed at Michael Flynn and his role as a Trump advisor.

It was all about General Flynn. I think it began on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan, when Flynn changed the way we did intelligence against the likes of Zarqawi, bin Laden, the Taliban, and their allies.

Why did the Deep State throw caution to the winds in an desperate effort to frame Donald Trump for alleged collusion with Russia–and failing that, to entrap him in an obstruction of justice case? There are a lot reasons for the Establishment to hate Donald Trump, but one of them stands out. During the campaign, Donald Trump denounced the Obama administration for having created ISIS. That claim drew ridicule from the mainstream media, but it is entirely correct. Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn, Trump’s campaign adviser, was head of Defense Intelligence Agency in 2012 when the DIA blew the whistle on CIA backing for Sunni Islamists fighting the Assad regime during the then-raging Syrian civil war. As my friend Michael Ledeen wrote at PJ Media on March 26, the Mueller investigation was all about Flynn.

Flynn was bankrupted by Mueller at the urging of the Intelligence Community, led by Brennan and Clapper.

Who Is To Blame For The Rise Of Radical Partisanship In Congress? Madeline Osburn – “Historians’ rose-colored glasses see the 1950s, ’60s, and ’70s as times when members’ kids played baseball together and civility reigned. It’s the ’80s that are credited with the rise of temper tantrums and personal attacks.” 80’s? Indicative. There’s more to the story.

“Portteus argues that evidence suggests the radicalization of Congress and more frequent ill treatment of the other side actually began a decade earlier than Gingrich’s arrival. After the Watergate election in the mid-1970s, the Republican Party was in shambles and Democrats gained one of the largest majorities in Congress any party had ever seen.

Even as Republicans won back seats after Jimmy Carter was elected president, the Democratic leadership maintained minuscule roles for Republicans. They used forceful tactics in exerting their power

These events in the late 1970s led Republicans believe that not only did Democrats have no interest in working together, but they were also willing to steal elections to maintain power. Democrats were actually the original inventors of procedural tricks and stubborn sleight-of-hands that conventional wisdom now blames the Gingrich coalition for.

Scholars often imply that when Democrats are in control, they behave like civil moderates, but the evidence suggests otherwise. …

But perhaps it’s not just the major parties who are to fully shoulder the blame for the radicalization of their tribes. The American people themselves have become polarized, and that is reflected in our legislature. We have two camps with fundamentally different views of justice, the role of government, and identity politics — and each camp sends representatives to D.C. to fight for their side. It seems Congress will not be to able find a middle ground until their voters do.

But the evidence? Reality? Reason? Integrity? Wither art thou?
