Randy and Vicky have volunteered to spearhead the planning for the SNU's 40th Anniversary Celebration in 2016. They will have a major voice in determining what the actual event will be and how it is carried out. Anyone wishing to work with Randy and Vicki on this event, please get in touch with them. Any and all ideas and offers of assistance are welcome. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org

Do a dinner cruise on the M.S. Dixie Also include a rally at the campground.
What should be the focus of an Anniversary event? Attendance? A sort of thank you to participating members of the SNU? Other??
The primary purpose of the SNU is camping and if we can encourage people to come to rallies that would be very good for the SNU. A special rally might act as a catalyst to get more members to a rally.
Attendance at lunches is higher than at rallies and those attending most regular lunches are primarily SNU members.
Almost half of the participants at some of the best attended events including both previous anniversary events and recent Obsidian rallies have been people who are not SNU members,
The SNU is an inclusive group and has lots of friends (members of other Units and potential members) who have actively participated in SNU events. We definitely want to include them in any activity planned to celebrate the 40th Anniversary. It would be great though if we could figure a way to get more of the non participating SNU members to attend.
Weather is a factor to consider whether we do a lunch, dinner or rally. Month and time of day should be considered.
