Rally at Ft Churchill, a Nevada State Park

What: 3 day Rally, members & guests welcome. Board meeting Saturday open to all.

When: Thursday October 18 to Sunday October 21, 2007.

Arrival time - anytime after noon on Thursday July 20

Where: Coming from Reno, Fernley, Carson City , or Fallon areas at the Silver Springs junction go south on US 95 alternate towards Yerington. Fort Churchill is located along the Carson River, eight miles south of Silver Springs on US 95A. The park is situated 40 miles east of Carson City, and 36 miles west of Fallon.

Fees: The campground is individual sites.

Cost: Each participant will need to pay their own camping fee. As of February 2004 the entrance fee is $4 and the camp fee is $12 per night. For seniors with current Nevada State Park Pass camping fees are waived.
Kitty Kall: $5 per rig per night payable at the rally or online in advance (see below)

Events and activities: Morning coffee klatch is from about 7 to 9 on Saturday and Sunday. Happy hours will likely occur on Friday and Saturday starting about 5 p.m. The unit meeting will be held Saturday at about 1 p.m. following the pot luck lunch. All gatherings will be informal and BYO (bring your own) to share as suits your karma. If you want to coordinate and plan, then form your own conspiracy with whomever is handy! Bring wood for campfires

Weather: moderate, can be cool at night. October weather can be changeable.

Facilities: Good gravel parking spots, some pull through, pit toilets, water, lots of cottonwood trees

Nearby attractions: Ft Churchill historic site and museum, the Carson River is just a short easy hike from the campground, fishing, bird watching, hiking, and bike riding.

If you can't make it for the entire time, feel free to join us for a few hours, one day, or whatever time frame fits your schedule.
