What: 2 day Rally, members & guests welcome. Board meeting Saturday open to all.
When: Friday August 18 – Sunday August 20 2006
Arrival time - anytime after noon on Friday August 18
Where: on Hwy 89/44 about 50 miles northwest of Susanville, CA. From Reno take US-395 N toward Susanville, appropriately 80 miles. Drive through Susanville and up the hill heading west. (US 395 becomes CA 36 in Susanville). Go about 10 miles to the turn off to CA 44. Turn right onto CA 44 and go about 47 miles to the Junction of 44/89. Turn left on 44/88 into the town of Old Station. Go about 5 miles to the Hat Creek Campground. From Old Station youwill be following Hat Creek which will be on the left of the road. Heading west, the entrance to the campground is on the left. The dump station is on the right side of the road. Drive through the campground and the gate at the back to the group camping area. The SNU has site #2 which is towards the back. Total distance from Reno is about 140 miles.
Kitty Kall: $5 per night per rig
Events and activities: Morning coffee klatch is from about 7 to 9 on Saturday and Sunday. Happy hours will likely occur on Friday and Saturday starting about 5 p.m. A potluck dinner is planned for Saturday about 5:30pm The unit meeting will be held Saturday at about 1 p.m. following the pot luck lunch. All gatherings will be informal and BYO (bring your own) to share as suits your karma. If you want to coordinate and plan, then form your own conspiracy with whomever is handy! Bring fire wood for a campfire
Facilities: Dry camp, pit toilets, water available.
Nearby Attractions: Hat Creek is right in the campground, great fishing, hiking, visit nearby Lassen National Park, Burney Falls, and the Subway tunnel. Check out the Visitors Center in Old Station

As a convenience to members, SNU is accepting a pay in advance for the year's rally fees. For eight, two night weekend rallies per year, this fee would be $80. If you attend any three day rally, the third night would be considered a bonus although any additional contribution would be welcome. If you are unable to attend all the rallies the kitty fee for those missed would be considered a donation the the SNU. The annual rally fee is non-refundable. This kitty fee does not cover individual site or access fees.
