In Northern California at the Oregon Border and in the Tule Lake area, Lava Beds features tours through Lava Tubes and a good chance to see the flat butte terrain based on massive lava flows that is characteristic of the Owyhee uplands all the way across southern Oregon to Idaho.

This camp is an old design and not well suited to use by RV's. Sites are the 'park beside' type and there are a few spots that will allow parking larger RV's sufficiently off the drives to allow through traffic.

Fees: moderate - - both camp and park fees need to be paid.
